The Changing Seasons – September 2019

The Changing Seasons – September 2019

The Changing Seasons post, inspired by the lovely Sarah at Secret Art Expedition and hosted by Su at Zimmerbitch.

September flew by, didn’t it?

Apart from a couple of fun nights out with friends, I didn’t really do much in September.

One of the things I did do, was visit Abington Park Museum, somewhere I’ve never even thought of going in all the years I have lived in Northampton.

There was an exhibition that I wanted to see – Northampton artist, Aasen Stephenson’s Death on Two Legs. He has created something wonderful from the fallen leaves around the park.

I’d also like to share a few photos of the beautiful surroundings where I work.

  1. The leaf art is so beautiful — as is the area around your workplace. That must make the drive to work much more pleasant than sitting in urban traffic. Apologies for not seeing this post and updating the blogroll sooner. I don’t seem to see your links for some reason.

  2. Gosh, your photos are Stunning, Gil. It would be hard to choose only one favorite —I love them all! How fantastic to work in such beautiful surroundings, and Aasen Stephenson’s art is incredible. Thanks so much for introducing him to me.

    1. Aw thank you! It is lovely working in the countryside. I love my 25 minute drive there and back every day! Might not feel the same now our clocks have gone back and it will be dark in the mornings and dark when I leave!

      1. I understand perfectly. This period of the year, marked by the lack of brightness, sometimes plays on our moods. I walk for about 30 minutes on my lunch break to get some vitamin D. It relaxes me too. Keep well Gill. xx

        1. It’s good to get away from your working space . I tend to have my lunch at my desk, so always take time to got for a march around the grounds to stretch my legs and my minds 🙂 You keep well too xx
