Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall

Dusit Park, Ratchawithi Road, Dusit, Bangkok, 10300
Open: Daily, 9.30am-4.00pm.

The Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall is the most striking example of European design in the whole of Dusit Park. It was commissioned by Rama V in 1906 and finished in 1915, five years after the king died. It was built in the Italian Renaissance and Neoclassical styles by architects Mario Tamagno and Annibale Rigotti. The domes on the roof are typical of European structures at the time and the beautiful white marble was imported from Carrara in Italy.
