The Changing Seasons – February 2019

The Changing Seasons – February 2019

The Changing Seasons post, inspired by the lovely Sarah at Secret Art Expedition and hosted by Su at Zimmerbitch.

The month of February started with a little snow in Northampton. As usual in this part of the world it never lasts long, but it everything looks pretty in white.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…..

One of my photos received a Top Shot Award on Viewbug. A little boost for me at the beginning of the month! Even the small things bring joy πŸ™‚

One Sunday in February, I just couldn’t motivate myself to work, so I spent the afternoon watching Bohemian Rhapsody with my sister-in-law. If you haven’t watched it, I recommend you do, especially if you are a fan of Queen. It’s a fabulous celebration of the life of Queen and their brilliant front man – Freddie Mercury!

Since I moved in with my brother, I’ve had to find new routes to go running. I never realised my hometown was so pretty. I try to go running 3 or 4 times a week, and one day I managed to run 10 km for the first time in ages! Another high-five to me πŸ˜‰

You have a lovely route! Very impressed with your 10 km.
Queen fan here! πŸ™‚ I enjoyed the movie and a group of old ladies in the cinema singing along. It was so sweet.

    1. Thank you Inese! Yes, I am quite surprised at how lovely it is in my hometown! I never noticed when I lived here before LOL I hope you had a lovely weekend and are enjoying the same nice weather we have here at the moment! πŸ™‚ xx

  3. Congratulations for your award, Gil. It is indeed a beautiful photo! Love Queen and yes I have seen Bohemian Rhapsody. Enjoyed it a lot too. Here, the snow stays way too long. And believe it or not we got more snow yesterday… But the good part is that our sky is almost always bright blue. No vitamin D deficiency. Keep well.

    1. Thank you Dominique! Wow, snow in April! We are enjoying a bit of a heat wave here in the UK -it’s nice not to be wearing 5 layers of clothing since I am used to the Thai heat! Blue skies are awesome, not to mention beautiful! Have a fab week πŸ™‚ xx

      1. It’s been raining a lot in the past few days so the snow melted now. Finally beginning to look like Spring. Thankfully, we have blue skies all year long here. It makes Winter more pleasant. Have a great week too, Gil.
        xoxo

  4. Gill, congratulations on the accolade for your photo from Bluff … it is stunning! Ahh… at least you got some snow and it looks so pretty. As for the film, it is superb and I saw it on the recommendation of my son! I came out crying and you could feel the emotion in the cinema!
