I have loved bird watching for over ten years now.
I used to go to nature reserves and parks when I lived in Thailand. It was such a joy when I’d spy a bird through my binoculars, check my bird book and be able to actually name the correct species.
Now, I’m back in the UK, I’m not that serious about it, but I still get a thrill when I see a bird in the trees or flying across my path. I sometimes stop in my tracks and just look, especially if it’s a little more exotic than our beloved (or not) pigeons.
A Year Among Birds is my 2027 calendar which has some of my favourite photographs of birds captured both here and abroad.
Bird photography is celebrating the beauty of nature.
